This training module is designed to equip teachers / educators with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively use e-learning tools in their teaching. Today's digital learners thrive with digital tools, engaging multimedia, interactive content, and gamified learning experiences for optimal understanding. Through a series of sessions, educators / teachers will learn about the various e-learning platforms available, the basic features of these platforms, and how to set up and use them for teaching and learning in the local context. By the end of the training, Educators/teachers will be able to confidently create classes, groups, and post relevant announcements, assignments and questions using e-learning platforms, thus improving the quality of education in their local community.
Session 1: Introduction to E-Learning
Overview of e-learning: various platforms, tools, benefits and challenges.
Setting up an account on a chosen e-learning platform.
Session 2: Basic Features of E-Learning Platforms
Understanding the basic features of e-learning platforms
Creating classes, groups and inviting students
Posting announcements, assignments, and questions.
Session 3: Advanced Features of E-Learning Platforms
Exploring advanced features of e-learning platforms
Integrating other digital tools such as collaborative documents, videos, and interactive media
Facilitating collaboration and communication among students.
Session 4: Best Practices for Teaching with E-Learning
Identifying best practices for teaching with e-learning platforms
Engaging students in online learning
Troubleshooting common issues and challenges.
Session 5: Applying E-Learning in the Classroom
Reviewing how e-learning platforms can be used in various teaching contexts
Developing a plan to implement e-learning in your own classroom
Evaluating the effectiveness of using e-learning in teaching and learning
